Job Summary
The Mortgage Financial Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting and reporting for mortgages while meeting published quality and productivity standards. The role involves understanding of mortgage business and its system to be able to identify and investigate transactions for appropriate cash settlement and clearing processes. The role is also responsible for various reconciliation most especially that which affects the Lawson General Ledger. This role also conducts monitoring of particular bank balances, including the daily trading and interests earned.
Mortgage Accounting
Ensure timely and accurate monitoring and clearing of mortgage suspense transactions, i.e. payments, disbursements, interests, and etc. The role also involves monthly and quarterly reconciliation of mortgage related accounts based on IFRS reporting. This also provides mortgage allocation review for new loan set up loan processed by Manila Servicing team.
Mortgage Reporting
Perform monthly reconciliation of mortgage related balance sheet and income statement accounts based on IFRS, USGAAP, and NAIC reporting. The role also involves concrete explanation of occurrence of variances for better understanding and analysis of users. This also includes provision of daily feed coming from Enterprise planning tool.
Tasks that are requested by the Business Unit which are necessary for the business concern. Submission of monthly meeting agenda, containing issues and concerns, is also considered.

  • University Business Degree and/or recognized accounting designation; CPA required.
  • 4+ years of progressive responsibility within accounting/finance
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of the mortgage business
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with database applications
  • Advanced Knowledge of IFS Applications (Lawson, Essbase, Webfocus)
  • Experience using enterprise planning tools (Cognos, Hyperion, MSTR,etc)
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong oral/written communication skills required to interact with Business Units
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Solid interpersonal skills to interact with, establish relationships with the Business Units
  • Ability to work independently and to willing to collaborate with other teams members
Additional Details
  • The applicant should be willing to report for a rotating shift (night shift during month/quarter end)
  • The applicant should be willing to report in Diliman, Quezon City
