Innovation Practice & Enablement
The LOFT (Lab of Forward Thinking) at Manulife/John Hancock is looking for someone to join our Innovation Practice & Enablement team. Our goal and focus is bringing user-centeredness to the firm and catalyzing innovation throughout the company.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can handle multiple tasks and own them, end to end. Some of your will responsibilities include organization of events like Design Thinking training sessions, Hackathons and Speaker Events.
We practice Design Thinking and have a culture of Prototyping.

In order to accelerate our capacity for change and explore new ideas, we have launched a dedicated organization focused on innovation called the LOFT: Lab of Forward Thinking. The goal of this organization is to deliver new, valuable services and products to our customers and internal business stakeholders.
What you will be accountable for:
In this role you will work closely with the LOFT team to develop, plan, and execute programs and events that support the cultivation of innovative ideas, exploration of new opportunities, and fostering of an innovative culture across the company. Your main responsibilities will include:
Planning and implementing a wide variety of programs and events, both internal and external facing
Assisting in developing engagement strategy and materials for programs and innovation initiatives in order to engage employees across the company
Creating marketing and communication material to promote programs and innovation initiatives.
Analyzing and assessing the success of the programs and ways to utilize this information for future planning
Collaborating with internal and external partners to assess current state and future needs of program touch points
Providing logistical and general management support as needed
The skills and qualifications you will need to be successful:
Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working in a fast paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with varying levels of management, as well as external partners
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage concurrent tasks while meeting tight deadlines
Self-motivated and possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as needed
