2018 Global Talent – HR Program Consultant (Coop)
Are you interested in working on a global, high performing team?  Do you want to spend your co-op experience working on HR initiatives that shape the future for employees at a leading global financial services firm?
The Global Talent Center of Expertise (COE) is accountable for talent management programs and strategies as well as enabling Diversity and Inclusion at Manulife.  Our team works on projects, designs and execute programs, and delivers experiences that enable us to attract, retain and engage top talent, ultimately setting our organization up for success today as well as in the future.
During the coop experience at Manulife, you will work on a variety of projects and assignments with our team, some of the tasks will include:
  • Project coordination – assisting Program Consultants and Project Leads on project related tasks
  • Analysis – analyzing data and reports
  • Presentations – assisting with the creation of presentation decks
  • Events and team meetings – attending events and team meetings as required
To be successful in this coop you need to be:
  • Intellectually curious
  • Adaptable
  • A Team player
  • Engaged
  • Self-driven
  • Enrolled in a Marketing, Psychology, Human Resources or related area
  • Completed at least one coop assignment
  • Detail oriented, intellectual curiosity, and technically competent
  • Advanced excel, power point and word.  SharePoint is a plus, as is any creative presentation skills (i.e. Video capture, graphics, etc)
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt flexibly to conflicting workloads and deliverables in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills
