Collateral Management Analyst (Co-op), Global Derivative Services
Global Derivative Services is responsible for all back-office functions that support derivative trading, including both the General Account and 3rd party funds managed by Manulife and John Hancock Asset Management.  Collateral Management is a team of seven people and we are looking for you to join us! You will gain a working knowledge of Derivative Instrument types including cleared and over-the-counter swaps, futures, options, and FX. Daily functions include the monitoring of collateral positions and margin requirements across the bilateral and exchange traded clearing accounts.
You’ll do things like:
  • Learn about the ins and outs of collateral management, operations and accounting for Derivative products.
  • Daily reporting, reconciliations, and booking trade tickets.
  • Gain knowledge in regulations that impact Collateral.
  • Get familiar with legal documents that specify collateral requirements
  • Build relationships with internal groups including Global Solutions, Legal, Treasury, Front Office, Settlements team and external custodians and brokers.

  • You’ve got experience with systems including MS Excel. You’ll use Bloomberg and collateral management systems including APEX, Findur, and 4Sight.
