Job Summary:
  • The Associate Area Head is responsible for converting strategy into the tactical solutions at the sub-sector level. 
  • Will also be expected to provide inputs and recommendations to the sector distribution strategy
  • The incumbent is expected to lead, manage and develop the agency sub-sector in line with the corporate objectives and vision. 
  • Will also be accountable for all key result areas stated in this job description.
  • Effectively execute strategies and action plans at the sub-sector level to meet the objectives of the sector. 
  • Ensure annual sales, manpower, active agent count and conservation targets are met. 
  • Build a profitable agency sub-sector and assigned branch office operations. 
  • Build and maintain a professional and ethical agency force at the sub-sector level, in line with regulatory, industry and company standards. 
  • Sub-sector operations:
    • Support the Area Head in the conduct of agency meetings, performance review meetings, career orientation programs, training programs, management programs, and planning sessions as required by the sector and agencies under his / her sub-sector. 
    • Aide the Area Head and the agencies under his / her sub-sector with the promotion and monitoring of sales and recruitment programs and campaigns. 
    • Ensure efficient delivery of services related to licensing, agency benefits, and agency relations in coordination with Agency Operations – Agency Services. 
    • Support the Area Head in the resolution of agency conflicts and agency-related issues. 
    • Handle the implementation of Sector agency development programs and initiatives that may be assigned to him/her from time to time

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies/ Administration / Economics / Management 
  • Three years or more relevant experience in sales, business development and agency management preferably in a life insurance setting
  • Has held key positions relevant to the requirement of the job
