Are you excited about designing best in class digital experiences?  Would you like to be part of our new design team? Last year we decided to get serious about improving our digital customer experience, and as a result we decided to centralize the Experience Design function for the organization. We are in the process of building out these teams and we need an Experience Design Lead who can build and grow our team in an agile environment, while delivering business value and driving awareness of design within the organization.


We are seeking self-motivated designers who have led in all areas of the design process, have embraced Lean UX and Agile methodologies, and can speak coherently and convincingly about the value and challenges of atomic design. We expect you to possess and demonstrate strong design skills and a passion for pushing good to great. You will be the champion for the best interests of users, promoting research, usability, and best practices. We’ll want you to have an understanding and appreciation of usability concerns, best practices, and the intertwined nature of design and implementation.


You will play a key role in:

  • Leading UX conversations in a cross-capability agile team and establishing an integrated design process within an agile workflow
  • Building a newly formed UX team from the ground up, establishing this practice within the organization
  • Providing thought leadership, setting standards, and coaching a team of Experience Designers
  • Collaborating with customers, business leaders, employees across multiple business units and external networks to discover of new opportunities and explore customer needs
  • Developing a complete understanding of customer needs and wants, identifying product and business model opportunities, and keeping customers at the forefront of every decision
  • Demonstrating the principles and value of innovation through participation in programs targeted at internal staff and external participants
  • Collaborating with other design teams within the organization to establish a community, share knowledge, and cross-pollinate ideas
  • Embracing and employing both current and emerging UI best practices and digital standards in all design deliverables

Requirements for this position are as follows:
  • Candidates must be well versed in human-centered design methods and techniques. Design thinkers welcome!
  • Candidates must have been in a client-facing role and have large scale, long-term project experience.
  • Candidates must possess the ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a time sensitive environment.
