The International Group Program (IGP) is a leading network of insurance companies (Network Partners), operating throughout the world to meet the group insurance and pension needs of multinational corporations and their subsidiaries. The financial arrangements available via the IGP network are comparable to those that might be obtained by dealing with a single underwriter on a worldwide basis.

 

The task of IGP Administration is to co-ordinate with the 50+ Network Partners the submission of over 5,000 Policy Year End Reports and produce the annual financial reports that are returned to IGP's 850+ Clients, as well internal reporting which is needed by IGP Finance to measure financial results and goals.  IGP generates its revenue thru reinsurer's expense allowances and risk charges. 

 

The IGP Administration team is seeking a Business Analyst to provide support of existing business applications as well as data reporting, analysis, and development of new applications/reports as needed. This role will report into the Director of IGP Administration.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for existing functions of business unit applications - SSA/Proposal application, Monthly Report DB, Underwriting DB, IGP Customer Database, IGP Web Site, ECHO reporting and data analysis.
  • Develop new functions for existing applications by working with users, including the collection and documentation of business requirements.
  • Serve as department (including overseas offices) resource for IT-related problem reporting and resolution. Coordinating with IT staff as appropriate.
  • Work on various projects to automate every-day business functions, meeting time and quality targets.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies for potential applicability to department, through self-study and available training.
  • Independently handle special technical projects as assigned by management or senior technical staff to support department business functions.
  • Develop high level of IGP business expertise to complement technical skills.
  • Assist in planning department technical objectives and coordinate implementation with appropriate internal and external resources.
Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst developing and analyzing requirements and creating documentation including, BRDs and specifications.
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) skills.
  • Macro and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) skills and/or experience with other structured programs/languages is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage, organize, and prioritize work projects.
